Ken what a story. Someone was definately looking after him that day. Thanks for sharing it. Imagine not hearing a thing despite the world crumbling all around him.

Hi All,
The son in law Todd rang about 4pm and they had just had another aftershock 4.5. But he said "It wasn't the aftershock that gave everyone a bit of another fright but the noise.He likened it to that, he really thought there was a train heading for him and he was turning and looking around to see where it was coming from" Then I went and brought the mail in and it was our tickets to fly to Christchurch for Christmas and the New Year.MMMMmm

Scary times Ken, hopefully no more shocks and things settle down now. Just in time for your visit I am sure you will have a great time just dont nod off in the car
