The Heritage building in Walker Street Paisley is one of these buildings i have always walked past but i dont know anything about it and most buddies i know cant tell me much about it either, more recently it housed the undertakers and a chiropodist but thats all i know.

Here is the Heritage Building pictured from the former co-op car park overlooking the greens of Wellmeadow Bowling Club.

I asked the guy what the building was for etc but it was so long ago I cant remember what he said... it would be good to hear more info on this building..

In one of its previous lives it was an antique dealers/auctioneers.

Hope it gets a new lease of life
I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left

It had a connection with Coast Memorial back in the 60's as I mentioned before and was used by Scouts Guides Brownies Cubs ets. don't know why they used this one and not one at the church maybe because it was closer to people who went along.

That`s a hard one off the top of the head westender lol. Maybe the keystone on the building will give it away. I was thinking it might have been a church at one time that they used before coats memorial was built round about 1890? So this building might be older than it first looks...

I know that before coats was built they used other buildings.... Makes you think of a lot of buildings in that area that are long gone....And before the co=op there used to be a farm down there with cows and fields of hay...lol no joke!!!

Just out of interest we have churches like The Laigh Kirk (Paisley Arts Centre)1730ish.... The high church? 1750s?

In Paisley we are very lucky to have so much history and old buildings that it puts other places to shame... Mind you our town is old,but in a good way

We forget the important of these stone buildings we see for granted.
