Hi Folks,

As you know there will be a wreath laying ceremony and short rememberence service at the Cenotaph at 10am tomorrow morning ( 31st December )for those that lost their lives in the Glen Cinema Disaster of 1929, you are invited to attend, here is the running order for the service

Meet at the Cenotaph at 5-10 mins to 10am.

Welcome and intro:- Father John Tormey

Opening prayer (remembering 80 years ago, the kids who lost their lives in the Glen) Bishop Tartallia

Reading:- Rev Briss

Poem :- Father Tormey

Moment of Silence (laying of wreath) Emily Brown (survivor) laying wreath on the trusts behalf and then Derek Mackay (leader of council).

Prayers of intercession :- Father Tormey

Our Father:-All

Blessing:- Bishop Tartallia

No doubt there shal be tears in a few peoples eyes tomorrow at the ceremony, Im glad that this is not a day that is just being passed by like it has been done in some previous years.

Although the day is to remember the 71 children lost my admiration goes to the countless people who have not just stood back and let the day pass as it usually would with a wreath laid at the memorial in Hawkhead Cemetery and have brought this terrible tragedy back into the public domain with dignity and respect.

This morning saw the 80th Anniversary of the Glen Cinema disaster, more localy known as paisleys "Black Hogmanay" with many survivors attending the ceremony at Paisley Cenotaph
