First of all I didn't know Jack was a Hawks supporter they might not be out of it yet if Fremantle beat Port. Anyway I agree with you that the Buddies should support Collingwood because they are Black & White I would have if I had known their colours when I arrived in OZ. Anyway I am a Lions Supporter and have to say I'm proud of it even thought they moved to Brisbane. I just hope the best team wins and we don't play in the Grand Final don't think I coould stand being surrrounded by Magpies supporters. Just found out Brad & Lynsey are going to a Wedding on Final day he isn't pleased. Alice

Its a bit early Briea for me to think about rules so quickly.
18 in each team with 4 interchange players.
4 quarters of 20 mins with stoppages added on which makes the quarters go around 30 mins.
6 points for a goal and 1 point for a behind.
Similar to rugby and irish gaelic football.
Everyone hates the umpires and thats where you let your frustrations out after a busy week at work.
The top 8 teams at the end of the series then play off in the finals.
Maybe Alice can fill you in with more and also Jack.
Huge crowds every week.
You should be able to see it on your tele.My brother sees it most weeks on his.But you definately get the finals series on it as I watched them last year when I was home.

I've only been watching it for 28 years and still don't understand some of the rules I'm always blaming the umpires (refs) but its exciting to watch very different from soccer which I loved but now it seems so slow. Anyway its only three weeks to go and then its the finals even if your team is not involved its a great time in Melbourne everyoe gets involved. Alice
