Nine people have been arrested after an armed police siege at a house in Johnstone.
The incident is thought to have been sparked after an overnight drinks party.
Specially trained police Strathclyde Police negotiators and the firearms unit were at the scene in Duncraig Crescent from 6.15am on Saturday after being alerted by neighbours.
It is understood some had gone to the house to complain about noise from an all-night party, to be told those inside had guns and grenades.
The surrounding streets were sealed off as the police tried to resolve the situation. Firearms officers stood by as items used by those inside to barricade themselves in the attic were removed.
In total nine people, understood to be in their teens, were arrested. No firearms were found or discharged.
Those arrested were taken to police headquarters in Paisley.
