I was just wondering if the old swimmimg baths in Storie St are still there as it's a few years since I've been in Paisley.

Hi MaggieB and welcome to the site
Paisley baths in Storie st are long gone,im not quite sure how long ago,but big difference in that area with Paisley Uni and car park!!
Remember baths well,our class from St Marys walking down George st to our swimming lessons didnt do me any good I was a BIG FEARTY as far as water was concerned
Happy memories though of going with pals and into Allans snack bar for chips,no forgetting that wee wooden FORK

I recently came across a large picture measuring about 6ft by 5ft of the baths but was not allowed to take a picture. Its located in Glenburn inside the only place i know in Glenburn that has plenty of old pics on there walls of Paisley inside St Peters mens club.

I loved Allans Chippie but I hated the baths. I saw people on train today with chips from Lord of Fries and they had the wooden fork couldn't believe my eyes was tempted to go and by some but didn't want to miss my train. Alice
