PATONS MILL
The dramatic fire saw Fire Engines being called apon from all over Glasgow and as far away as dreghorn both HDPU ( Heavy Duty Pumping Units ) were called apon which must have been a first for Renfrewshire, as the last one was seen in use was at Christies Scrapyard Fire in Renfrew last year, Forward commend units were mobilised from the local area as well as from Dreghorn.
DAMAGE
One roof completely collapsed during the height of the raging fire that flamed Patons Mill at its height which saw all traffic being diverted and only one side of the road being opened at 8'o clock tonight.
RESIDENTS SHOCKED
Local community was shocked at what they saw but spoke of saying it was something that was waiting to happen due to the insecurity of the building, with one local resident reporting seeing Children running from the scene shortly before Fire broke out, It is also of no doubt Prince Charles shall be saddened hearing of tonights events at Patons Mill as he himself has taken a keen interest in seeing the Building transformed and with a meeting thta was to take place in only a few weeks it's news that has shocked the local community and local Historians alike.
