Well spotted -
Seems to be a total cut & paste job from various sources rather than a new blog. I have sent a polite email requesting crediting the source of photos etc.

Interesting wee bits and bobs that I missed in the newspapers however.

Renfrewshire historian Derek Parker said: "The remains are definitely not of Lady Anne Speirs, who is buried in Houston Cemetery.

"Either way, the Speirs family were God-fearing people, devout Presbyterians who also gave a lot of support to the Houston and Killellan Church of Scotland, and probably wouldn't have been inclined to put a curse on anyone."

The genealogist discovered that the mausoleum contains the remains of the Speir family of Burnbrae House, no apparent relation to Lady Anne Speirs, whose stately home was situated in the grounds.

Tesco wins legal battle

Tesco has won there legal battle to get permission to get the crypt remains removed and cremated, the remains have to be intered at Whitekirk Churchyard in North Berwick.

I think it must have been their most circulated press release since they invented the shopping trolley. It was on tv, radio, dozens of news sites have picked up the news feed from BBC website and now its even on here !!

wonder if the removal shall be done under the cover of darkness if you hear anything post it on your face book or on here and i'll do the same if i hear anything

Totally fascinating stuff, I would have liked to visit this place many years ago when I lived in Paisley.
