Patients transfered to the Royal in Glasgow as the RAH runs out of beds

The winter toll is taking full effect on the RAH in Paisley countless people attending with broken bones after falling in the snow and ice are facing hours of waiting, its that bad that there isn't enough operating hours in the day to cope with patient demand never before has Paisley RAH seen scenes this bad.

Tonight i saw for my self the full extent of whats going on behing the scenes as i spent 9 hours at accident and emergency and here is a personal senario i saw for myself tonight.

patient arrives at A&E at before 6pm

seen by doctors, diagnosed and being admited and left on trolley before 7pm

bed finaly got at nearly 2am after 7 hours on a hospital trolley and all this on a pensioner of nearly 90

Westender thats really sad,I think I know who you are talking about, hope she is okay. You must be really tired.

Time the council got their finger out and start to organise things better. They ran out of grit last year and they have had a whole BLUDDY year to fix this problem and guess what its all happening again.Council couldnae run a raffle. They should have been filling up for the past year and this would not have happened again.Maybe their excuse is they have no storage space,I could find plenty.eg all the empty shops, buildings, and grass land like where the old regal was.And let everyone help themselves during the year so you all have the grit on stanby when you need it.
Council get off your fat backsides and do something positive urgently.

Hi Westender Sorry to hear your news I hope he/she is okay. The council have to get their act together and do something now not wait another year. Also I can't understand why Paisley still only has one hospital surely a town this size should have another hospital somewhere in Paisley instead of transferring patients to Glasgow. Paisley covers such a big area from what I can remember.

My experience of the RAH has been appalling, my wife has been seriously ill for two years now and the service we received from the RAH has been appalling.. I do understand the stresses and strains of what the workers are under... but surely when a pensioner is left to lie on a bed for so many hours things are going wrong.. we are not a third world country...
