Things all quiet in paisley although plans for demolishing the " Hole in the Wa " pub in the back sneddon street area have been put forward with future use proposed as a car park.

In Linwood demolishing work has taken place at the small multistory houses at the end of Kashmir Avenue at the roundabout before Clippens Road, Also in Linwood heres a few snaps from the Mount Royale Hotel which was last used as a Homeless persons unit and is due to be demolished.

I can't believe the Hole in the Wa pub is still standing was ready for demolishing in the 70's.I remember Rod Stewart stopped there to have a drink on way to airport one night and I got a phone call to tell me from a friend who was playing darts. I was in a taxi beofre you could blink and I picked up 2 friend on the way he was still there when we arrived but it was my first and last time in the pub and when my Dad found out I had been in it he was not pleased but I thought it was great even made it to the PDE to say Rod had stopped of on the way and surprised everyone. I knew you were going to ask me that. I think it was around 76-77 but I am guesssing it was anytime between 74-78 I remember where I was working and that was when I was working there. It was a few lines inside the PDE saying Rod was in town. Alice
