Firstly Happy New year!!
May I firstly congradulate the way the filming of this event was handled by some of the Paisley.org website team.
I looked at some video links sent to me recently and wondered what the hell the other guys taking pictures of this event were all about!!!
I feel that the camera lenses were pointed right in people faces at this event!!! Don`t these guys have any idea what they were doing ???? Except trying to make a few bucks out of photos!!!!!
Have a look again at the videos on youtube and you will see how bad the photographers were!! Certainly not Pro!!!
There is a certain distance to keep away from people and also there is times when basically you DONT stick a camera lens in folks faces when they are respecting the dead from 80 years ago!!!
I know we have to have coverage of these events too but it looks like some people can`t wait to stick a camera lens up close to get the perfect shot!!!
When I take photos I try to be discreet as possible. I usually ask people if I`m allowed to take photos!!! Then I get the camera out!!! Some folks say yes and other say no!!!
What actually is annoying me about the way this Glen Cinema Disaster 80th anniversary was covered is that fact that there was TOO MANY people with cameras and it took away some enjoyment of remembering the actual Glen Cinema Disaster!!!
Just look at the lassie putting down the flowers and the antics of these so called Pro photographers!!!
Some of them are a bloody joke!!!!
And for Paisley.org???
I think the camera team did well and did it properly without accosting people!!! And were not in the way of the actual occasion taking place!!!!
