ESSENTIAL maintenance work is to be carried out at Erskine Swimming Pool.
A programme of works is being carried out at the pool and should be completed within eight weeks, starting from April 23.

The decision to carry out the maintenance and close the pool between the Easter school holidays ending and the start of the busy summer period was taken to minimise disruption to users. Swimming lessons will be re-located to other local pools.

Joyce McKellar, chief executive of Renfrewshire Leisure said: “Our aim to provide leisure facilities of the highest standard to our customers and to do that at Erskine Swimming Pool, we are carrying out this maintenance work.

“We aim to cause the least disruption to our customers by having this work done outwith the Easter and summer school holidays.

“Our other pools in Renfrewshire – the Victory Baths, in Renfrew; Lagoon Leisure Centre, in Paisley; The ON-X, in Linwood and Johnstone Sports Hub – will be open to welcome visitors from the Erskine area.

“I hope our customers will understand this work needs to be carried out and to do that we have to drain the pool, let it dry out completely before re-tiling and re-grouting takes place.

“Once the work is completed customers can look forward to an even better swimming experience at Erskine Swimming Pool.”
