Commenting on the Renfrewshire Council budget for 2018/2019, SNP MSP and Finance Secretary Derek Mackay said:

“The SNP Scottish Government have delivered a good deal for Renfrewshire Council, and I’m delighted to see the new SNP administration respond to local priorities on roads renewal, a cleaner local environment and new housing. A multi-million-pound investment whilst keeping council tax rises at no more than inflation.

“And despite needless scaremongering from Labour, I am delighted to see funding from the SNP administration for the continuation of Families First, as well as additional funding to help tackle poverty.”
