Nominations can be made in a number of categories, including Top Intern, Best Trainee, Most Promising New Employee, Apprentice of the Year and a variety of others, before the deadline of Friday 16 June.

The awards aim to celebrate the success of local people who have been supported through the Employability in Renfrewshire Partnership programmes.

Renfrewshire Council Leader, Iain Nicolson, said: “Nearly 1,000 local businesses have signed up to support the Invest in Renfrewshire programme which is creating work and training opportunities that are helping our economy to grow.

“We are continuing to work to reduce unemployment and the Invest programme is a key factor is ensuring the opportunity is there for people to gain the skills they need to move into full-time employment.

“These awards are a fantastic chance for those who work in Renfrewshire to be recognised for the difference they make to their organisation so please take this opportunity to give them that recognition.”

The Celebrating Success Awards ceremony will be held in Paisley Town Hall on Wednesday 6 September where the winners will be celebrated.

Ruth Cooper, Invest in Renfrewshire Manager, said: “The Invest in Renfrewshire programme aims to create conditions where local businesses can grow and attract investment while also giving local people the help to find and stay in work.

“We’re determined to give people that opportunity and the awards are a chance to showcase the tremendous talent and potential we have found so far in Renfrewshire.
