Johnstone residents will have an opportunity to find out more about exciting new developments for the town at a public information event in Johnstone Town Hall at 6.45pm on 27 October.
The event, which is being organised by Johnstone Community Council and supported by Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership, will focus on two important issues for the town:
· The Johnstone town centre strategy
· The new Community Empowerment Act which opens the way for potential transfer of public service assets, such as buildings, to local communities
Attendees will be able to hear about Renfrewshire Council’s ambitious strategy for improving Johnstone town centre and the exciting opportunities that could be open to local communities through community asset transfer.
They will also have the chance to discuss these developments with Council officers and take part in a question and answer session.
The event is free and all who would like to attend are welcome.
