Gallery: Albion Rovers v St Mirren

St Mirren clawed their way back from two goals down on Saturday afternoon to run out 4-3 winners against Albion Rovers in the 3rd Round of the IRN-BRU Cup at The Exsel Group Stadium.
Saints were reeling after 15 minutes when they found themselves 2-0 down after goals from the Dunlop duo – Ross and Michael – put the Coatbridge side into an early lead.
Lewis Morgan pulled Saints back into the game on the half-hour mark as he drilled the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the penalty-area. Five minutes later Saints were back on level terms thanks to a great long distance strike from Stephen Mallan.
Three minutes later Saints surged into the lead when John Sutton bulleted a header home but the lead lasted barely sixty seconds as Ross Dunlop forced the ball past Jamie Langfield.
After a goalless second half the game moved into extra-time and Saints scored the winning goal midway through the first period when a shot from Sutton was deflected onto the path of Lawrence Shankland who headed the ball into the back of the net to earn St Mirren their place in tomorrow’s 4th Round draw.
