The annual Summer Gathering is a celebration of thanksgiving and remembrance and St Vincent’s are keen to highlight that the invitation is for everyone, not only those who have received services through the hospice.

Catherine McGrath, spiritual care coordinator, said “We extend this invitation to everyone who would like to join us. There may be family and friends that you would want to remember. You don’t have to have a personal connection with St Vincent’s Hospice; everyone is very welcome indeed.”

“This event is a celebration, which includes songs, readings and reflections, with the hope that there will be something for everyone, including the children.  Many different symbols, such as placing stones on the cairn and floating candles, will be used to help us remember those we love, all in a spirit of thanksgiving for what they have meant to us.”

The Summer Gathering begins at St Vincent’s Hospice in Midton Road, Howwood at 2pm with refreshments served afterwards.

No booking required, simply arrive on the day or for more information contact 01505 705635 or info@svh.co.uk.
