This is Melanie’s second fundraising event in aid of St Vincent’s Hospice and a totally tropical evening was had by all in Ralston Bowling Club . Melanie said “ My Aunt received care from St Vincent’s Hospice for a number of months. After her passing in 2014, St Vincent’s Hospice became a charity very close to myself and my family. The staff do a remarkable job but to be able to do this they require fundraisers like myself. For the second year running I held a fundraising event with all funds raised going to St Vincent’s Hospice. Yes it is hard work to organise, yes it can be emotional, but most of all it can be and is fun! To know that patients like my aunt benefit from these funds and receive the care they should is why I hold such events. If anybody has the time – get planning your fundraising event for St Vincent’s Hospice and remember why you are doing it”

Carol-Anne Lamont, Senior Fundraiser said “we are hugely grateful to Melanie for the second year in a row organising an event for our benefit.  Melanie put so much effort into organising the night and making it so successful, it certainly looked like a great night was had by all. All the money raised on the evening will be used to support our work both at the hospice and in the community.”
