Blair Atholl Jamborette brings together over 1000 Explorer Scouts and Leaders. The idea of an international scouting gathering was first brought in 1946 by Mr Jack Stewart. Since then, scouts from more than 50 countries have taken part in this event making it a huge success.

This year’s Jamborette offers a range of activities, including a 24-hour hike, canyoning, climbing, water sports and overnight cycling.

Blair Atholl Jamborette ends on the 27th July. Until then, let’s wish our scouts good weather and a lot of fun!

In advance of the Jamorette, 15 year old Explorer Scout, Lyle Neil said:
“This is my first time taking part in Blair Atholl Jamborette and I am excited to meet scouts from across the world. Being able to spend 10 days away with friends, trying new activities is getting me out of the house and trying out new challenges.

“I am also excited about welcoming an international Scout to Paisley so they can experience my home town and Scouting locally.”
