Sports teams all over Renfrewshire have a fantastic chance to bag free training this week at Paisley’s Pro-Life Fitness Centre as the professional experts down at the gym get behind the build up to Sport Relief this weekend.

The centre at 98 New Sneddon Street, which is run by Renfrewshire Sports Charity to raise funds for St Vincent’s and ACCORD hospices, is opening its doors to any team in the community who want to take advantage of the expert advice and top of the range equipment available at the centre.

Gayle Branningan, chief executive at Renfrewshire Sports Charity, said: “We at Pro-Life are supporting Sport Relief in many ways but thought it would be a good idea to offer free training for any team or individual member of a team in the community during the build up as our aim is to make people fitter and healthier.

“We already sponsor a number of teams including Paisley Pirates, Kelburne Hockey Club, The Trojans and Rockettes who all train here. Now we would like to give other teams, whatever sport, the chance to come along for free and tap into our expert knowledge and use the fantastic equipment available.”

Gayle added: “Of all the money raised by the public through Sport Relief 50 per cent is used to make a

difference right here at home in the UK and the other 50 per cent goes to transforming lives across the world’s poorest communities.

“We might just transform a life by introducing someone to a healthier lifestyle so we would encourage folk to come along Our doors are open and it won’t cost you a penny up until end of play on Sunday.”
