Gallery: St Mirren v Partick Thistle

St Mirren tumbled out of the William Hill Scottish Cup on Friday evening, going down 2-1 to Premiership side Partick Thistle in the 4th Round tie at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.

After a goalless first half the visitors took the lead on 62 minutes when Saints failed to clear their lines from a corner kick which Thistle’s Danny Seaborne took advantage of as he prodded the ball over the line to open the scoring.

Thistle were two-up 11 minutes later and once again it came from a corner as the ball found its way to Kris Doolan who fired a shot that came rattling off the crossbar with David Amoo reacting quickest by steering the ball past Jamie Langfield.

Saints pulled a goal back on 88 minutes with another goal from a corner kick, Thistle failed to clear their lines and Keith Watson drove the ball home to set-up a frantic end to the game but in the end it was too little too late.
