Gallery: Hibernian v St Mirren

St Mirren found life tough at Easter Road Stadium last Saturday afternoon as they went down 3-1 to title-chasing Hibernian in a Ladbrokes Championship match-up.

The Leith side took the lead on the 10 minute mark when Liam Henderson’s direct free-kick flew by Saints’ keeper Jamie Langfield on its way to the the back of the net.

Sixty seconds before the half-time break, former Buddie John McGinn doubled Hibs’ lead as he slipped the ball under Langfield.  But Saints pulled a goal back seconds later when Stephen Mallan whipped a direct free-kick into the back of the net to reduce the deficit.

Saints battled well in the second half but the game and points were settled on the 90th minute when Hibs’ substitute Anthony Stokes tapped the ball home from close range.
