‘Superstars’ is the theme of this year’s Renfrew Gala Day taking place on Sunday 7 June at Robertson Park. With a mix of fairground rides, live entertainment, stalls, free family activities including inflatables, petting zoo, vintage fire engines and much, much more, Renfrew Gala Day promises to be a fun day out for all the family.

Community groups from Renfrew will embrace the Superstars theme by dressing up as their favourite sport, music or film star before participating in the annual Gala Day parade. Spectators can enjoy star-spotting as the parade leaves Canal Street at 1pm and makes its way to Robertson Park to mark the start Renfrew Gala Day at approximately 1.30pm.

In addition to the regular activities on offer, this year the park will also play host to the Caravan Obscura, a unique light installation packed inside a regular touring caravan, in celebration of the International Year of Light 2015. Youngsters will also get the chance to have their own red carpet moment in the Superstar Photobooth, complete with green screen to transport them to a glamorous new location!

In the lead up to Renfrew Gala Day, the annual Bonnie Baby and Toddler competition will take place at the Cherrie Centre on 2 June, from 12pm – 1.30pm (registration at 11.30am for 0 – 4 years). Tickets to the fringe events ‘Renfrew on Film’ (taking place 3 June at Renfrew Town Hall) and the Family Ceilidh (taking place 5 June at Renfrew Town Hall) have now sold out.
