Holiday Activities at Paisley Museum

Looking for activities to entertain the kids this summer? Then look no further than Paisley Museum where the award winning Outreach Team from Renfrewshire Arts & Museums will be hosting a summer drama workshop called ‘The Show Must Go On’. The team are looking for all budding actors, writers, directors, designers and musicians to take part in their week-long workshops which take place from Mon 30 June to Fri 4 July, 10am to 3pm Mon to Thurs and 10am to 12pm on Friday.

renfrewshire artsAimed at children between 8 and 14 years of age, these workshops will enable participants to bring their creative ideas to devise a play from script to stage using acting and directing techniques. Working with the Outreach Team, the children will experience working with animation, film, props and costumes, sound, music and lighting.

Participants can choose to use their skills in one area throughout the week, or have a go at doing everything. The end result will be a short performance which will be shown to friends and family. Also look out for the making of ‘The Show Must Go On’ extra movie clips!

Mon 30th June- Thurs 3rd July 10-3pm. Fri 4th July 10-12am- Performance for friends and family Fri- 11am.

The cost per child for the week is £37.50 and £26.25 concession for those in receipt of full working tax credit. Bookable through box office on 0300 300 1210. Maximum of 25 spaces.

Participants are asked to bring a packed lunch.
