This adaptation of Roald Dahls much loved children’s book will be screened at Paisley Arts Centre on Sat 14 April from 2.00pm. The Witches sees a young boy, recently orphaned, taken to England by his grandmother. At the hotel in which they are staying, a group of witches have gathered to prepare a plot to rid the world of all children.
After the film all the budding witches and warlocks in the audience can learn how to create their own spells and make their own spell book with the team at Central Library from 3.45pm – 4.30pm. Activities suitable for ages 4 – 10 years old.
“The most important thing you should know about real witches is this. Real witches dress in ordinary clothes, and look very much like ordinary women. They live in ordinary houses, and they work in ordinary jobs”Might this be your neighbour?
The screening of Roald Dahl’s The Witches is linked to the forthcoming Quentin Blake exhibition at Paisley Museum. Blake is one Britain’s best-loved illustrators synonymous with his work with Roald Dahl.
