Kally Lloyd-Jones and Damian Thantrey join forces once again with Cabaret Chordelia, an erotically charged and witty reinterpretation of live cabaret, full of corsets and sensuality, the elegance of dance with moving and eclectic music and song. The production appears at Paisley Arts Centre on Thursday 12 April, for one night only.
With music ranging from Noel Coward and Rogers & Hart to Kirsty MacColl and Tom Waits, Cabaret Chordelia is sumptuous, classy and mischievous, whilst also remaining in true cabaret style – darkly profound and intimate.
Cabaret Chordelia is directed and choreographed by Company Chordelia’s Artistic Director, Kally Lloyd-Jones. She recently directed Katya Kabanova for Scottish Opera and was Choreographer and a Performer in the Opera’s most recent 5:15. Her movement direction also includes the highly acclaimed 2009 Edinburgh International Festival Production of The Last Witch.
Opera singer, Damian Thantrey, recently performed in A Little Night Music at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris and sang in Scottish Opera’s Die Fledermaus and A Night at the Chinese Opera.
