Pipe bands from across Scotland will flock to Paisley on when the town hosts its second annual Pipe Band Competition.
Local bands from Paisley, Johnstone and Renfrew will face some stiff competition as bands from across the country join them in Paisley town centre on Saturday 23 July.
The bands will make their way down Paisley High Street, from New Street to the Cenotaph, and then compete before the judges in County Square.
Renfrewshire’s Provost, Celia Lawson, will present prizes to the winning bands.

Provost Lawson said: “Our historic town centre gives this event a unique atmosphere, with people getting the opportunity to see the procession through the town.
“The competition is less than a month before the World Pipe Band Championships so it’s a great warm-up for the competitors and we expect to see some of Scotland’s top bands.”

The event is scheduled to take place from 12pm – 4pm.
The competition has been organised by Paisley Vision and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
