Every Goal from Every Game as Superscoreboard Announces SPL Deal

RADIO Clyde’s Superscoreboard has secured goalflash rights for the new 2010 / 11 season.

The new deal means that listeners to the show will get all the action as it happens.

The contract with the Scottish Premier League (SPL) is a welcome addition to the show which launched again on Monday night with a special extended duration for the new season.

New signing Jim Delahunt is in the hot-seat with an expanded line-up including new regular pundit Roger Hannah from the Sun and familiar names such as Derek Johnstone and Hugh Keevins.

Head of News and Sport at the station, Lorraine Herbison, was delighted to make the announcement.

She said:

“We are thrilled to have secured this deal with the SPL and know this is sure to prove a real highlight for our avid listeners in Glasgow and the west of Scotland. Superscoreboard has some great personalities on the programme and has a really loyal following.

“Securing the goalflash rights, allowing us to go round the grounds, underlines our commitment to bringing the best in sports coverage direct to our listeners and enhances the show even further. The new look programme launched on Monday night and was also the debut show for Jim Delahunt, our new anchor. It is already proving very popular with our listeners.”

Host Jim Delahunt added:

“This is a really exciting time for me to be at the helm of such a popular programme. The new deal means we can bring every goal from every game direct to our listeners which can only further enhance the show. Not only will we be first with all the action we will also be bringing all the important news and stories to our audience and encouraging their opinions every week.”
