Featuring Local singer / song writer from Paisley, Alan McKim.
As anticipated, Alan is steadily progressing with a musical career which is brimming with commercial promise. Consecutive shows and energised, emotive performances at King Tut’s resulted in a recommendation that he perform at Hydro Connect Festival 2008, which he did, to great response.
Over the past few months Alan has also had the privilege of working with some extraordinarily talented songwriters in London, Leeds and Derbyshire. These have included; Steve Chrisanthou & John Beck (the guys who co-wrote Corinne Bailey Rae’s ‘Put Your Records On’), Tim Kellett (ex member of Simply Red and James Morrisson co-writer) and Dele Ladimeji (London based songwriter signed to Peer Music, the same people who manage Newton Faulkner). They have all contributed in developing him as a musician. For their guidance, he is extremely grateful.
Already a well respected Scottish performer, Alan is now being taken as seriously as befits his talent and has recently signed a publishing deal with Nettwerk One Music Ltd.
Alan has recently been working with a full band. With the first two sell-out shows under his belt, he’s really looking forward to his first ever headline show at the Captain’s Rest on Friday 30th October. This show will kick-start a Scottish tour in order to promote the release of his forthcoming EP. So far.
